eBike Law Hub

Terms of Service

Effective date: April 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the eBike Law Hub website and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by eBike Law Hub ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

eBike Law Hub provides educational summaries, maps, and related materials about U.S. e-bike laws and safety. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

We may ask you to confirm acceptance of these Terms (for example, on your first visit). That acknowledgment may be stored locally in your browser so we do not ask again until we update the Terms or you clear site data.

2. Not legal advice

Content on the Service is for general information only. It is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws change, and cities, counties, land managers, and other authorities may impose rules that differ from state-level summaries. You are responsible for verifying requirements with official sources and, when appropriate, a qualified attorney or government office.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract where you live. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you must not: attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data; interfere with the Service or other users; use automated means to access the Service in a way that overloads or harms it; scrape or redistribute our content in bulk without permission; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual property

The Service and its content (including text, graphics, and layout) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. Other uses require our prior written consent unless allowed by applicable law.

Commercial use of the Service, its content, data, or materials is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from eBike Law Hub.

6. Third-party links and sources

The Service may link to third-party websites or official government resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.

7. Newsletter and communications

If you sign up for email updates, you agree that we may send you messages about law changes, the Service, and related topics, consistent with our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent by contacting us as described in the Privacy Policy or by using unsubscribe instructions we include in marketing emails when available.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, eBIKE LAW HUB AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US ANYTHING. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless eBike Law Hub and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Utah, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise. Courts in Utah shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to mandatory provisions of law where they apply.

If you operate the project from another state or form an entity elsewhere, update this section with your lawyer to match your business.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

13. Contact

For questions about these Terms, contact us using the method published on the About page or elsewhere on the Service when available.
